The Chaplaincy of Christ Church Amsterdam

We are three English-speaking International Anglican congregations consisting of people from all over the world and where all generations feel at home. We have worshipped Jesus in Amsterdam for over 300 years and today we seek to combine the strengths of the historic Anglican Communion with the vibrancy of contemporary worship. Our vision is to make disciples of Christ from all nations in Amsterdam and North Holland. We want to help each other to grow healthy relationships with God, one another and our neighbours as we live together in greater Amsterdam and North Holland.

The Chaplaincy of Christ Church Amsterdam is a registered ANBI institution.

An ANBI is a public benefit institution. This means that anyone who donates a gift may qualify for deducting this from the income tax from the tax authorities. An institution can only be an ANBI if it is at least 90% committed to the public benefit.

Reflection on 2022

As God said to Mosesmy presence shall go with you and I will give you rest” (Exodus 33:14).  The promise of our Lord “I am with you always” and “never will I leave you, never will I forsake youcan help us with such awareness of his presence, that prayer becomes an answer from an overflowing hear.

How good it is to look expectantly for God’s powerful presence at work within and without? Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”‍ (Philippians 4:11-13)

We are grateful for how Christ Church Amsterdam has moved through the incredible complex year 2022.

Blessings and Peace be with you all.
