Ben Crabbe sharing the power of prayer

Southeast (Zuid-Oost) is our afternoon Congregation of the Holy Spirit. It meets in an area of Amsterdam where many immigrants with an African Anglican background first settled upon their arrival in The Netherlands, bringing a wealth of experience and cultural diversity to our church.

The services at the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, are led by singers and a soundtrack, using a mix of modern Anglican African material with English-language hymns. We delight to be loud and expressive! The format of services is Holy Communion (Sundays 1 and 3 in the month) and Service of the Word (Sundays 2 and 4), all according to material from the Church of England, and all starting at 13:30.

Our prayer ministry is important to us, and it is available at every service – as we believe at Christ Church that God answers prayer.

New members are always welcome, and we keep an emphasis on hospitality – many Sunday services are followed by meals prepared by our amazing team. There is parking on nearby streets.

As attendance by our volunteers allows, Children’s Work is available on Sundays. Preaching is shared between the ordained and lay leaders of the chaplaincy.
