Monday evening – men / Amstelveen / Amsterdam
This group offers guys in different stages of life the chance to talk about issues of faith: relating faith to work and balancing the priorities of career, family and leisure activities. We seek wisdom from Jesus and each other and encourage one another to try to live life better.
We meet every Monday evening, alternating between Bible study one week and a meeting in a café the next week.

We’re a group of people in our twenties (though everyone’s welcome!) who get together once a week to eat together, to catch up and to spend some time studying the bible or praying. We meet weekly on Thursday evening at either Amy’s place (Amstelveen) or Hannah’s (Amsterdam). Once a month we aim to do something social, go out for a drink, see a film etc. We want our life team to be a place of fun, great friendships and life-sharing, where we can easily welcome others.

Wednesday evening / Haarlem
The Call and the Cross
Beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself (Luke 24:7). Jesus taught his disciples that the Bible has one consistent theme running right through it from the beginning, culminating in his own ministry, and preparing for the coming of the Spirit to his followers. This life changing Bible READING course outlines the basic principles for Christian life: faith in God’s promises, obedience to his call and acknowledgement of the saving power of Christ’s sacrifice. The course requires preparation between the evenings and runs from September 2011 to May 2012.

The aim of the Marriage Course is to help couples grow closer and build a healthy marriage that will last a lifetime. It was developed by Nicky and Sila Lee, co-authors of The Marriage Book. They have been married for over thirty years, have four children and are on the staff at Holy Trinity Brompton – the London church that started the Alpha course. This course is run according to demand.
Other ways you can join in the life of Christ Church South are:
- Help make Sundays happen: each Sunday a setup team turns the British School space into ‘church’. Team members set up the sound system, put out chairs, make refreshments, distribute Bibles and service sheets, welcome visitors etc.
- Info: Rob Klok 023-4270747 robert.klok@gmail.com

- Sing or play an instrument with the Worship Team
- Help with Kid’s Church or crèche
- Start or join an ‘ad hoc’ team: care and support sick and elderly people, help families with newborn babies, provide babysitting etc.
- Start a new Life Team: it only takes 3-4 people and you can do anything that adds a sparkle to life and involves meeting together

“Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. Let us not neglect to meet together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another, all the more, as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10: 24-25.
